Maximum benefit amount for accident medical expenses is $1,000,000.

Disability payments

Temporary Total Disabilities payments equal to 66% driver’s weekly earnings from all network businesses, subject to the maximum and minimum limits.

Death benefits

Occupation insurance covers the accidental death of driver’s spouses, children, and other dependents. It also covers burial costs if the accident is covered.

If your personal insurance is not available, the auto liability policy covers third-party bodily injury and property damages for covered accidents. You may not be eligible for benefits under occupational accident insurance, such as disability payments and medical expenses.

Is it necessary to sign up for the insurance coverage?

Drivers on Lyft are not eligible for occupational accident coverage, even if they use the Lyft app or are traveling in California.

What is the best time to report a claim

If you log into the e Lyft app during one of these times, you may be eligible to receive coverage.

How can I report a claim

Report an accident that caused you injury via Lyft or our Claims Customer Care team. Lyft Safety can be contacted to report any injury that was caused by another incident. Both cases will be handled by our teams who will gather details about the incident and then work with our insurer to file a claim.

I was logged in to another app when the accident occurred. Do I still have coverage?

If you accept requests from multiple network companies at once, you may be eligible to receive coverage under the occupational injury insurance. As long as you log into Lyft, you can do this.

You are not eligible for occupational accidents insurance benefits if your account is active on Lyft and you have received a ride request or delivery request from another company.

In such a scenario, occupational accident insurance benefits may be available from another network company.
